For that reason, our staff is here to walk you and your clients through the entire process…from choosing a floor plan and making interior selections to preparing closing documents and scheduling final walk-throughs. Are contingent offers accepted?
Yes! We accept most contingent offers, especially those contingent on the sale of a buyer's current home. Our team is happy to help structure offers with contingencies and answer any questions along the way.
Does Jordahl build in the winter?
Yes! Winter construction is possible, provided the foundation is excavated and poured before the end of October.
How long does it take to build a home with Jordahl?
Construction timelines vary depending on the home and stage of construction. We offer completed homes that are move-in ready, as well as homes at various stages of construction that may be ready in as little as 30–90 days. For a fresh-dig build, the typical construction timeline is approximately 90 days.
Where does Jordahl build?
We build throughout the Fargo-Moorhead area and can accommodate builds outside the FM area within a certain radius. Contact our team to discuss a specific location!
How much earnest money is required?
Earnest money requirements vary depending on the purchase agreement. Our typical requirements are:

$2,500 for homes priced under $250,000

$5,000 for homes priced over $250,000
Does Jordahl work with outside Realtors?
Absolutely! We do not have in-house listing agents, which means we rely on our Realtor partners to help market and sell our homes. The more Jordahl homes you sell, the more listing opportunities we can offer our partnered Realtors!
Can Jordahl build on a buyer's existing lot?
Yes! We can either purchase a lot on behalf of your client or build on a lot they already own.
Can buyers customize or create their own floor plans?
Absolutely! Buyers can start with one of our existing floor plans and make modifications to create a home that fits their needs. We can also work with our draftsman to develop a completely custom floor plan based on a design or layout your client loves.
Can buyers customize a model home that is already under construction?
Yes! Depending on the stage of construction, buyers may have the opportunity to make layout changes and choose interior selections. For completed models, additional upgrades or smaller modifications may still be possible. Our team can help determine what options are available for each home.
Can Jordahl provide rental options during the building process?
Yes! We would connect you with our partner company - Meridian Property Management - to go through rental options available.
